ISMOBEL S.A. was founded in December 4, 1981 and, when it was created, the premises were in the city of Logroño with 300 sq. m. of surface. Two years later the company moved not far away due to its enlargement, occupying 2000 sq.m.
Some years later, circa 1987, due to the necessity of creating a stock, a warehouse of 2700 sq.m. was built to keep finished items.
In 1999, as there was not enough land to enlarge the premises, ISMOBEL thought of moving to the present place, in the outskirts of the City, in La Portalada II industrial site, with a surface of 25000 sq.m., being 12500 sq. m. the real premises and having the rest for future implementations. We moved in 2000, what meant, not only the enlargement of manufacturing and stocking, but also the modernisation of technology.
ISMOBEL S.A. has been and it is, from the beginning, a family-run company, founded by Mr José María Martínez Albaina. Nowadays, the founder and his two sons and a daughter are in charge of the managing and development of the company.
To increase Ismobel production, it was created in 1996 J.D.M. Silleria S.L., company founded by Ismobel Group. JDM produces office chairs and, althouh recently created, it's taking a very important role in the market of the office furniture manufacture. With the foundation of JDM we tried to adapt the Market necessities, complementing our customers' requests.
ISMOBEL and JDM, together, follow the family philosophy and, with the experience of the years, it's still growing.
The aim of ISMOBEL S.A. is the manufacturing of office furniture and its commercialitazion, importation and exportation of furniture, office accesories.
Since its creation, ISMOBEL was dedicated to the manufacturing of modern office furniture. The production is based in the usage of melamine-faced chipboard, although nowadays we have introduced the veneer-faced MDF to the new series.
Modular items are the essence of a production which goes from general offices to half direction and high direction, pointing out the real good finishes for a product with a good relationship quality/price
